A handful of words do most of the work in this program. Here's what they mean — the full manual lives on its own page, built into the program itself.
Source — where or who it came from.
Location — where it is now, such as Storage Room 1/Shelf 4/Box 5.
Category — what the item is, for finding it by subject — up to 16 per item, and you define your own.
File Attachment — a picture, spreadsheet, video, audio file, or any other type of file.
Title — a short description that serves as the item's caption and filename.
Description/Story — the full write-up. No length limit worth worrying about.
Provenance — the record of ownership and history, used as a guide to authenticity.
Item — a single entry in the collection.
Treeview — the three clickable lists — Source, Location, and Categories — you browse the collection through.
Accession/Catalog Number — the Museum edition's unique ID for an item, assigned when it's accessioned.
